Democratic Convention of 1996
In this flashback on the pre-1996 Democratic National Convetion in Chicago, the Deputy CEO of the Convention Committee discusses the multiple groups involved in making sure the even runs smoothly. Although the Convention was not, and they often are not, the largest of events that are held in cities like Chicago, the significance of the members who attend and the purpose for which they serve draws in lots of media attention to both the event and the city it is held in. Even the most seemingly basic issues like transportation gain importance for national party conventions because they are so high profile.
